As if the collection of gear in IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube 4 wasn’t already impressive enough, the music tech company has released another new collection of great high-end sounds and effects in the new Fulltone Collection for AmpliTube. Featuring a wide range of tones from the classic to the contemporary, the new collection promises “boutique sound for the discerning musician” inspired by guitarist and composer Michael Fuller’s vision for quality stompboxes.  The Fulltone Collection includes three powerful processors that work great in both music production and creative sound design, which, thanks to IK’s usual focus on hyperrealism, provide all of the mojo and feel of the original Fulltone hardware folded into the intuitive design of AmpliTube.

The collection includes TERC (That 80’s Rack Chorus), recreated by Fulltone for this new kit and based on the original now-extinct Dyno My Piano unit, providing the lush and huge chorus sound that made TERC famous back in the eighties for its use by top session guitarists, but provides a sonic signature that combines a wonderful retro character that still works today. SSTE (Solid State Tape Echo) recreates the essence and warmth of the Echoplex EP-3 in digital form, avoiding the high noise floor of the original analog equipment, and IK takes this one a step further by adding a bpm sync function into the virtual rack for even more versatility.

Last but not least is the OCD Overdrive Pedal, a classic effects processor that gives the sound more grit and punch while still remaining true to the character of a quality tube amp. IK Multimedia is selling the Fulltone Collection as a set for $60 from its online store and within the AmpliTube Custom Shop, however the processors can be purchased individually at $35 for the TERC and SSTE and $25 for the OCD.
