Apple retail and online stores have launched a new, 4K display for sale in the U.S. The 23.7-inch UltraFine Monitor from LG has replaced the 4K and 5K offerings by the same manufacturer. It touts a stunning 3840 x 2160 resolution, which is lower than the previous model’s 4096 x 2304, but it’s still considered ultra HD by today’s standards.
In terms of looks, the new LG UltraFine display is more or less the same as its predecessor. It offers 500 brightness nits and a P3 wide color gamut for realistic hues. Connecting to the Mac is done via Thunderbolt 3 cable.
The monitor now has two Thunderbolt 3 ports that allow the user to set up multiple displays or for other Thunderbolt 3 accessories. Rounding out the hardware features are built-in speakers and 3 USB-C ports.
Interested users can visit the nearest Apple Retail store or go online to buy the 23.7-inch UltraFine display by LG, which costs $700.
