Apple has announced on its official website that the new iCloud Folder Sharing for the macOS Catalina will be delayed until spring of 2020.
The feature will allow users to collaborate with other Apple users by creating a private link that leads to their iCloud Drive. When opened, the link will direct the user to the iCloud Drive folder where they can add files and stay updated with new file versions.
The announcement was written in the feature page of macOS Catalina, although on the iOS 13 page it says that iCloud Drive will be appearing ‘this fall’. There’s no sign of the feature even on iOS 13.2 beta. Currently, sharing is limited to individual files, which puts the service at a disadvantage over competitors like Dropbox and Google Drive.
Sharing multiple files will require the user to compress them all in a zip file, then sharing that file link to other people.
