WWDC19

What exciting Apple products, software and updates are we looking forward to for the upcoming WWDC 2019? The stage is set for Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference from June 3 to 7. This year, the event will be held at the McEnery Convention Center, located in San Jose, CA.

Apple usually begins with a keynote, where companies make major announcements that will be discussed as the conference proceeds. Announcements can range from upcoming products to new operating systems; this year, people are expecting iOS 13 features, new versions of tvOS, watchOS and MacOS.

Several apps are expected to undergo changes and updates with iOS13, including Messages, Mail, Reminders, Maps, and the Health app. The dark mode, new sleep mode that would render the lock screen darker, multi window display and multitasking capabilities for the iPad, undo/redo gestures, stackable and movable cards, revamped Files and Find My iPhone app, and improved volume interface are all anticipated.

Apple offered their WWDC tickets based on a lottery system. Hopefuls entered the lottery and paid $1,599 when they got their names called. Entering was done via an entry submission at the Apple developer website.

The company also gave WWDC scholarships tickets, where applicants were required to create a 3-minute, interactive Swift Playground. Ticket winners and scholars were notified March 21 and April 15, respectively.

Update: Read this article on how you can watch the WWDC19 live.
