An Apple I operation manual has currently fetched $9,422 in RR Auctions, an online platform in Boston.
The “extremely rare” specimen is said to be in a ‘very good to fine’ condition, with a light round stain at the front, a short tear at the front cover and irregular toning that has graced the front.
RR Auction Executive VP Bobby Livingston has said that there are only a few Apple I operating manuals that exist today, which makes it highly sought after because of its collectability and connection with one of the most successful companies today.
The manual features the original logo of Apple at the front, i.e., Isaac Newton sitting beneath an apple tree as the cover. Inside, the manual explains to the user how the Apple I could be set up. There’s also a fold-out schematic and a warranty section.
The bid will end 7pm EST and is expected to reach more than $10K in value.
