Apple has shared a featurette video to advertise its upcoming Apple TV+ original show ‘Truth Be Told’, starring Aaron Paul and Octavia Spencer.
The show follows Poppy Parnell (Spencer) trying to re-open the murder case where she put Warren Cave (Paul) in jail. The ensuing investigation gives the viewer a glimpse of timely topics such as media, race and privacy.
‘Truth be Told’ is an adaptation of the novel with the same name, written by Kathleen Barber.
The series has had consultants such as Sarah Koenig, creator of the podcast ‘Serial’ which shares a parallel with the storyline. Other stars include Elizabeth Perkins, Mekhi Phifer, Ron Cephas Jones and Lizzy Caplan.
The Apple TV+ original series will make its debut on December 6 and will be an exclusive to the Apple subscription platform. It joins shows that are already available, such as ‘See’, ‘The Morning Show’, ‘For All Mankind’ and ‘Dickinson’.
