Apple has recently completed a deal with Futuro Studios, and potentially with other companies to try and gain new Apple TV+ content.
The Cupertino-based company signed a deal with the studio for funding new podcasts, to which it will have the right to turn into a TV show or film for its streaming service. Bloomberg reports that Apple is also offering the same for other studios, and so far has spent approximately $10 million from Apple TV+ rather than Apple’s podcast segment.
Futuro Studios is known for producing exclusive content, such as criminal-justice ‘Suave’, among others. The amount of the partnership deal between Apple and Futuro Studios is unknown, and the studio has not revealed any upcoming podcast as part of the deal.
Apple has produced several in-house podcasts, which are related to Apple TV+ content. Examples are companion episodes for ‘The Problem with Jon Stewart’ and ‘For All Mankind’.
