Starting with the iPhone 3GS, Apple’s iOS devices have been able to provide users with a (relatively) precise measurement of their battery’s remaining charge.
Some people like it, some don’t, but no matter which way you lean there’s an easy way to toggle it on and off.
Open the Settings app, tap on General, tap on Usage, and find the switch named Battery Percentage.
