Although Apple’s fifth-generation iPod touch isn’t shipping until later this month, manufacturers are already producing cases for the significantly redesigned device. XtremeMac sent the first batch to make it to our office, including Microshield Fade ($23) and Microshield Stand ($28).
These plastic shells have all the proper cutouts for the new device, including a wider camera hole to accommodate the flash, and a hole at the bottom for the new loop button. Fade changes color from the top to bottom, while Stand is mostly a single solid color with a contrasting fold-out kickstand.
