Though SwitchEasy has experimented before with reptilian plastic cases, Reptile ($29) for iPhone 3G and 3GS is a largely new and different take on the same theme: the soft plastic main case has a crocodile skin texture on the back, unusually held firm with a hard plastic side, top, and bottom frame that detaches from Reptile’s back half.
This design has some less than positive consequences: small and inflexible headphone port and Dock Connector holes, each aided by twin included protectors and Dock Adapters, but not with a headphone port extender.
Screen film, a video stand, a cleaning cloth, and a film installation squeegee are included; five colors are available.
