Review: SwitchEasy Aero, N+, Nude, Play for iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus

Review: SwitchEasy Aero, N+, Nude, Play for iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus

Whereas most case companies are rebranding existing iPhone 6 cases as “iPhone 6/6s,” or are creating new cases designed for both the 6 and 6s, SwitchEasy is marketing many of their newest cases solely as iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus cases. Four of these new cases are Aero, N+, Nude, and Play, and we’ve received all of these cases for both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Aero, N+, and Nude are $20 cases, while Play, with its lanyard loop and built-in kickstand, is $25. All of these cases are thin, and most of them are very thin — Apple would be proud. We’ve included a front shot of the iPhone 6s case and a rear shot of the iPhone 6s Plus case for each. As is expected from SwitchEasy, all of the cases come in a variety of colors, and they all come with screen film, as well.

Aero has a thin back with slightly thicker TPU edges.

Button coverage is present and responsive. It’s worth noting that the back of the case is so thin that it almost feels flimsy. The case is a bit loose on the sides — not excessively so, but it’s more of an issue on the larger iPhone 6s Plus case.

N+ is the thickest case of the bunch here — relatively speaking. We appreciate the TPU feel, which is more solid. Here, though, we prefer the iPhone 6s Plus version of the case. The fit on the iPhone 6s version of N+ seems slightly off to us.

It doesn’t completely cover the sides of the phone quite like it should, though button coverage works fine.

Nude is barely worth mentioning. The transparent case is the same price as Aero and N+, but it drops button coverage for some reason. It only offers slightly more coverage than basic shell cases, which we don’t review.

Play is an interesting case — it has both a built-in kickstand and lanyard loop with an included wrist strap. While we always appreciate a kickstand on a case, Play’s kickstand feels cheap. It works, but it also snaps off and on with ease. Why? We’re not sure.
