Based upon the company’s earlier in Studio Smart Speaker 5.0, Sierra Sound’s Smart Speaker 4.0 ($TBD) is similarly a pair of piano-finished conventional speakers with an iPod Dock on top and remote control functionality integrated via an IR sensor on one speaker. The system comes with video cables, a power cable, and a cable to connect the speakers to one another, as well as an Infrared remote control.
Pricing has not yet been announced. Editor’s Note, May 2009: Despite its arrival at our offices for testing, the Smart Speaker 4.0 had not received a price or appeared on the company’s web site as of eight months after our First Look.
It appears that it will not be available.
