As the latest fine leather cases from France’s Noreve, the Tradition series continues the company’s… tradition of modestly updating prior designs for new Apple devices. The iPad Tradition Leather Case ($84-$97) is a folio-style design that uses embossed leather-covered plastic to hold an iPad on its interior right side, while the left side has a flap with a magnetic tab to hold the case closed.
Inside the flap are two paper-sorting pockets, four card-sized slots, and a seam that helps the lid double back as a second flap on the rear opens to become a video viewing stand. Twenty-two color and texture options are available; the black patent leather version shown here is sold at the more expensive price point.
By comparison, Noreve’s Tradition Leather Case for iPhone 4 ($55-$68) is a flip-style case with a front flap that hangs off of its bottom when open, using a plastic tab to stay closed. It comes in 22 colors as well, each with an optional plastic belt clip that attaches with a metal screw and nub system; the version shown here is a $62 variation with upgraded leather.
