Mophie is branching out from its standard lineup of battery packs with Outride ($130-$150), an action sports camera kit for the iPhone 4/4S. The core of the system is a bulky plastic case lined with rubber; it’s impact resistant and when outfitted properly, waterproof.
Not all of the details have yet been released, but Mophie has said it’ll be offering different bundles. We received the Multisport Kit for review, which includes: two interchangeable backs, one thumb-latch quick-release, two flat mounts, two curved mounts, one adjustable handlebar mount, one surf mount, one tripod mount, two 90° “dog bone” extensions, and a safety leash.
The release attaches to the bottom right edge of the case, allowing Outride to be hooked up to any of the included mounts. Also included is a wide-angle lens, allowing for 170° viewing.
