Incipio’s Ghost Qi ($100) is the company’s newest iPhone 6 battery case. A wireless charging case, Ghost Qi recharges using a compatible Qi charging base, though there’s also a micro-USB port for charging — Incipio sells its own Qi charging bases for $40 or more.
Ghost Qi’s 2100 mAh battery claims to deliver an 80 percent charge to an iPhone 6. Ghost Qi boasts button coverage, and a co-molded design with a brushed back — it’s nearly identical to Incipio’s offGRID Shine case.
Ghost Qi delivered a slightly better charge than expected, restoring 84 percent of an iPhone 6’s depleted battery in about an hour and a half.
We saw no issues with recharging, either, whether using the Qi base or the case’s micro-USB port. Of course, considering there’s no widespread iPhone support for Qi, going this route is a big commitment for one particular battery case.
Much like its offGRID Shine twin, Ghost Qi is an attractive battery case and it works well.
