As another of the earliest iPhone 4 cases we’ve actually received for review, Hard Candy’s new BubbleSlider for iPhone 4 ($35) is a hard plastic case with a distinctive dimpled body, capable of being pulled into two pieces for Dock Connector compatibility. The interior of the case has a couple of rubber stripes to reduce scratching, and the outside has holes rather than protectors for all of the iPhone’s buttons and ports.
No screen protection is included. Multiple colors are available, including a chrome series with metallic finishes and a soft touch series with non-glossy finishes.
Tested fit on actual iPhone 4 units is very close to spot-on, with properly sized and located holes for everything, though accessory compatibility is a little dicey due to the tailoring of the top and bottom holes; removal of BubbleSlider’s bottom is necessary for connection to some cables and docks, while some headphone plugs may be challenged by the hole at the top.
