First Look: Griffin Technology Streamline Armbands for iPod and iPod nano

First Look: Griffin Technology Streamline Armbands for iPod and iPod nano

Currently available in two sizes — one for iPod, and one for iPod nano — and now planned for an August or September release for iPhone, Griffin’s Streamline ($30) is a simple, convenient armband and case design for active users, with nicer looks than the company’s earlier Tempo armbands. Each Streamline consists of a hard plastic shell with a full clear soft plastic face protector and a soft neoprene back and side protector.

The face protector is ringed with reflective material for added safety during the night, while two holes in the hard plastic enable Griffin to slip through a double-adjustable armband that can be tweaked for length, then secured with a Velcro and plastic tab. Each case exposes a bit of the iPod’s top and bottom while inside; you can remove the armband to just use Streamline as an unusually wide case, if necessary, or to wash the case after use.

A pink version of Streamline was released in August, 2007.
