While we weren’t really blown away by either of these new cases from a company called 1ideacase, it’s a slow day, so we’ll show you what it has come up with for the iPad 2. i-Model Handbag ($19) is a simple sleeve with handles, made out of two white faux-leather halves, and covered in soft black circles.
Our review unit arrived with a blue ink mark on one side, and the black circles were somewhat raggedly cut, making this look like… well, a not particularly well-crafted $19 fake leather sleeve. By comparison, iSmart Case ($29) is a bit nicer, a soft-backed folio-style case available in light grey, dark grey, and red.
The cover is split in three columns, and folds up into a stand. All of the openings are well-sized and look clean; there are also magnets built in, both for holding the lid shut and activating the automatic locking feature.
