Mac: iPod It 1.7.1 Released

“iPod It gives you the ability to transfer all of your Entourage information to your iPod. It also lets you transfer any number of driving directions and weather forecasts to your iPod. Now you can have all of the information you need right at your finger tips and all through one application.”

What’s new in v1.7.1
This is a maintenance release. There are few subtle additions (e.g. you can
remove alarms from subscribed iCals) but the purpose of this release is to
fix a few problems. Most people won’t have any problems but if you have a
space in your iPod name or live outside North America, this fix is for you.

The case is made in Japan by Century Corporation. There are photos and information about Carry Podder albeit in Japanese. The case is only available for 5GB and 10GB iPods. Translation provided by Babelfish.

We have emailed Global Century for more information and requested a review unit. Stay tuned for more.

Jeremy S. Hainline gives the iPod 20GB four apples in his review for macHOME magazine.

“At $499, this top of the line iPod might be too costly for many folks, but if its feature set appeals to you and you’re a bit stretched for dough, fear not-Apple makes cheaper 10GB and 5GB units ($299 and $399, respectively. Jefferson Graham for USA Today has written an article highlighting several MP3 players.

“The iPod is the smallest hard drive unit around; Apple has access to minuscule hard drives from Toshiba, drives competitors haven’t been able to get.
