“iPod an ‘unbelievable hit’”

Macworld UK reports that iPod has become an ‘unbelievable hit’ according to Yankee Group analyst Ryan Jones.

“The MP3 player’s success is borne out in the Japanese market where it became the biggest selling MP3 player in September with 42 per cent of the market. Apple’s chief financial officer Fred Anderson said: “We’re clearly very interested in gaining market share in the whole MP3 space.”

Mac: PersonaPodX 2.1 Released

“PersonaPodX is a helper application that gives you alarm, notes and contacts management for your iPod and Mac.”

    What’s new in v2.1:
  • Now works with iPod firmware 1.2
  • UI has been improved.
  • Alarm can be saved to the iPod

Taiwan gets iPods

Marie Feliciano, staff reporter for Taiwan News writes about the release of iPod in Taiwan titled, “Apple bets success on iPod.”


“It’s definitely a ‘must-have’ toy for Taiwan’s music and tech-crazy set,” Apple Taiwan General Manager Jack Tong said following iPod’s launch in Taipei yesterday.

“We are very bullish. We are confident we will sell bushels of it.”
