XtremeMac to redesign case for iPod 20GB

iLounger, “xaipemw” posted an email reply from XtremeMac V.P. Seth D. Lubin stating that they are redesigning the Deluxe case to better fit the iPod 20GB.

“Our case right now is quite a tight fit on the 20 gig. We are currently making a new design that would accommodate the 20 gig iPod better. As much as I would like the sale, I don’t recommend our case for you at this time. If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know.”

iPods Spotted at Best Buy

iLounger, “Kenal0” recently visited his Chicago Best Buy and found that they have new 10GB and 20GB iPods for sale. Apple recently released a press release announcing they have partnered with Best Buy to sell iPods.

“Kenal0” posted the following in the forums:

“I was in Best Buy today and I saw the iPod there. They had a 20 gig out in the box but a supervisor told an employee to put it in the back and bring them out when someone asks for one. The signs were hand written so you could tell they just went out. I cannot wait until they are selling the rest of the Apple line.”

Cases: Burst FlipPad for iPod from Japan

Update: Burst Co.,Ltd emailed us the following: “Unfortunately, our company is very small and orders from outside Japan are very few. As a result, there is no system that allows us to take orders online for shipping overseas.”

Japanese case/bag maker Burst has released the leather FlipPad for iPod. It’s similar to most flip-top lid cases on the market, but the difference is that the iPod is inserted from the bottom of the case and the flip-top is actually a bottom-flip lid. This allows for full-access functionality while attached to a belt or shoulder bag strap. Just unsnap it and fold down for access to the iPod.
The FlipPad fits 5GB and 20GB iPods. An optional spacer is also available to fill the space when using the thinner iPod 10GB for a perfect fit. iLounge has emailed Burst to find out if there are any US distributors.
