JVC has announced a new line of iPod-ready home and portable audio systems. JVC’s new “Made for iPod” product line includes the NX-PS1, a compact desktop system with a matching subwoofer; the UX-EP25, a low-profile CD micro system; the RA-P10, a portable system with iPod dock and clock radio functions; and the RC-EZ38 CD/cassette boombox.
The NX-PS1 ($250) consists of three 4-inch cubes—a center unit and two matching speakers—and features an iPod stand, remote control, powered subwoofer, and USB connectivity.
The UX-EP25 ($200) is “about the size of a small laptop computer, standing just a few inches tall.” It features a CD player, AM/FM tuner and an auxiliary input. The RA-P10 ($130) features an iPod dock, FM tuner and built-in stereo speakers.
It can be AC or battery powered and includes a backlit display, alarm clock, room thermometer, and remote control. The RC-EZ38 ($100) offers CD and cassette playback, USB connectivity, AM/FM tuner, a clock/timer, and remote control.
