After a false start two years ago, it looks like Apple Pay may now finally be launching in Germany, with German banks actually notifying customers via e-mail this morning that the mobile payment service is coming.
Apple’s German Apple Pay page merely notes that the service is “coming soon,” however two German banks, HVB and Bunq have updated their own web sites and reportedly sent out e-mails to customers announcing “imminent support” for Apple Pay, according to a report by MacRumors.
Apple’s German website suggests that supported bank sand cards will include boon, comdirect, Edenred, Fidor Bank, Hanseatic Bank, and Vim Pay.
