Fring has released an update to its voice and video calling app for iOS devices adding native iPad support and the ability to use a Bluetooth headset on the iPhone. With this latest update, Fring is now a universal app providing the same voice and video calling features from the iPhone and iPod touch on the larger iPad screen, including instant messaging, voice-over-IP telephony and group video calling with up to three other Fring users.
The new version also adds drag-and-drop navigation and a combined user interface on the iPad that provides simultaneous voice/video and text chat on the larger screen and introduces support for using a Bluetooth headset on the iPhone. Additional enhancements include connectivity improvements and several bug fixes.
Fring is available from the App Store as a free download.
