Apple has started sending out emails to customers with iPad 3G pre-orders, reassuring them that their device will ship later this month.
The email reads, “Thank you for your recent order of the magical and revolutionary iPad 3G. We would like to confirm that your order will be shipped in late April as communicated at the time you placed your order.
You will receive a confirmation notice when your order has shipped.” Notably, this is the first time Apple has openly referred to the 3G-equipped model as the “iPad 3G” instead of the “iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G;” it is unclear whether Apple will begin using this new name in a broader sense.
