Adobe has announced its new digital viewer technology for print publishers that allows them to create Apple-compliant versions of their magazines.
Debuting with the iPad version of Wired Magazine, which is currently available from the App Store, the technology allows for the inclusion of video content, slide shows, 360-degree rotating images, vertical and horizontal content support, and touch gesture support.
The new technology was developed “with input from” Wired, and was likely created in response to Apple’s decision to ban Flash and other cross-compiler solutions from the iPhone OS.
