IK Multimedia has released Syntronik Deluxe, an expanded version of last year’s Syntronik synth powerhouse for Mac users, adding five new legendary synths along with 500 new instrument presents, 18 GB of new sounds, and more than 22,000 new samples, bringing the total to 22 synths, 2,600 instrument presents, 80 GB of sound content, and more than 120,000 samples.

The new new synths include the Memory-V, which is IK’s take on the Memorymoog’s six-voice, 18-oscillator analog poly synth, which features 148 instrument presents, and over 6,000 samples; the SH-V which is an amalgam of the Roland SH-5 and SH-2 from Japan that offers 100 instrument presets and over 5,000 samples; the M-Poly which is based on Korg’s analog Mono/Poly and Polysix with 100 instrument presets and over 3,000 samples; the VCF3 which is a take on the ultra-rare British EMS VCS3 and includes 106 instrument presets and over 7,000 samples; and the Modulum which features analog modular drums and percussion created with interconnected Modular Moog, EMS VCS3, and Alesis Andromeda synths, and features 108 instrument presets and over 2,000 samples.

As before, all of the Syntronik synths, including the five new ones, are designed to accurately recreate the actual sound of the vintage synthesizers they’re modelled on by using a combination of sampling and modelling and IK’s proprietary DRIFT technology to vary the phase, color, and pitch of the samples oscillators in the same way that real analog oscillators would move.

The app also includes an analog modelled filter section offering seven filter types that users can mix and match to create pristine reproductions and unique combinations, as well as 38 professional effects with a lunch-box style configuration and advanced features like four-part layers, splits, and arpeggiators.

Instruments and multis from Syntronik can also be opened in SampleTank 3 so that you can use them individually or as four-part instruments alongside the huge range of instruments already available in the SampleTank library. Current Syntronik users can upgrade to Syntronik Deluxe and add all five new synths for $100, of purchase the individual synths via the in-app shop for $50 each.
