Hex has released nice multi-device bags in the past, but Academy Convertible Laptop Sleeve for 13” MacBook Pro ($60) is the first transformer-style design we’ve received for testing: not only does it have space for your Mac and iPad, but it can also be used as a sleeve, backpack, or cross body-style bag. As always, the materials are nice, and the extra pocket is helpful.

The bag comes shipped as a backpack with the two nylon straps connected to their corresponding D-rings.
Unhook the straps and tuck them into the big pocket on the back, and you have a sleeve that can still be carried with a top handle. Prefer a cross body bag? Attach the two D-rings to each other and adjust the straps to the length you like best.
