Spigen’s Style Ring ($25) is an interesting little add-on for your iPhone. Style Ring is a rotating aluminum ring attached to a small plastic piece which attaches to the back of an iPhone. The ring can be worn on one’s finger to prevent dropping the iPhone during use, and Spigen points out that using the ring to hold the phone can allow you to access more of the screen during one-handed use. The ring, which can be moved and turned in all directions, also doubles as a small kickstand.
It even comes with a small hook mount for a dashboard. Style Ring can be affixed to the iPhone itself, and it works with some cases, too. The product comes in white, black, or rose gold.
Style Ring uses a reusable gel pad to stick to an iPhone or a case, and it’s quite strong — it’s easy to stick on and use, but tough to pull off. It’s a simple, tiny product, but it’s got a surprising amount of functionality when you consider its extra uses as a kickstand and car mount.
We’ve seen these type of products before, but Style Ring actually benefits from its small size, as it mostly stays out of the way. If you don’t have a problem with dropping your iPhone, Style Ring will likely seem unnecessary, especially at $25. You also might find that using an iPhone with your finger is a bit awkward. But those clumsier iPhone users might want to take a look at Style Ring.
