Although it’s generally hard to get too excited about Lightning cables these days, every so often something comes along that’s just different enough to get our attention.
Such is the case with Native Union’s new Cosmos Cable Collection, a new lineup of four different rugged cables inspired by the Terrazo design trend.
In addition to sporting an attractive look, each cable is made with DuPont Kevlar fiber with a coating of tough nylon braiding, making them six times stronger than typical charging cables — in fact, according to independent bend testing, they’re rated for a 10,000+ bend lifespan.
Four different versions are available: Belt Cable ($25) and Belt Cable XL (shown; $35) are 4’ and 10’ cables that include an integrated leather belt so that you can always keep them tied up and tangle free; Key Cable (shown; $30) is designed to easily be taken with you on the go, tightly woven into a ball to dangle from your keychain via a cap over the connectors; lastly, Night Cable ($40) gives you a ten-foot range with a weighted knot so that you can keep it handy on top of a bedside table or desk without worrying about it falling off behind.
