Third-party Lightning cables are plentiful at this point, but IvySkin’s Reel ($20) cable stands out a bit from the crowded pack. The 1m Lightning-to-USB cable comes in five different colors, each with a braided leather look and feel.
Reel also comes with a genuine leather strap to keep the cable together during storage or travel. We understand there are some who will only buy official Apple cables, but IvySkin’s Reel feels more durable and looks nicer than an Apple Lightning cable, for about the same price.
Reel is, however, thicker near the plug itself, which may make it tougher to fit in some cases.
