Although it’s not the only company making Bluetooth-free, battery powered styluses—we’ve seen others from Just Mobile and The Joy Factory here at CES—Lynktec showed off its TruGlide Apex ($60). Coming in brushed silver or obsidian black colors, it’s the product of a successful Kickstarter campaign.
Like its competitors, TruGlide Apex has a fine rubber tip, allowing for more precise writing and sketching. The battery inside provides an electrical current through the nib, so that it’s recognized by the iPad’s display.
The tip is 2.4mm wide, and the body is a nice metal. It power on and off with a simple twist.
