As a division of RFA Brands, myCharge specializes in battery packs for Apple’s devices. Its prior lineup of hike-named batteries—Peak, Summit, Trek, and Sojourn—were all good, but focused on Apple’s prior Dock Connector standard; the company is now showing Lightning-ready solutions at the 2013 CES, as well as broader USB solutions.

Coming in capacities ranging from 3000 to 6000 or 9000mAh, Hub ($80-$130) offers charging for Lightning-based Apple devices with a direct connection, along with Micro-USB output and a standard USB port. The larger two units have built-in wall prongs and 3.1A capabilities, meaning they can charge an iPad and iPhone at full speed.

Jolt ($55-$65) is a battery pack coming in either 1000 or 2000mAh capacities — enough for emergency charges.

All three have built-in Micro-USB cables, while the most expensive also has a Lightning plug. They’re geared towards iPhones and iPods with 1A outputs.

myCharge’s AMPxt ($70-$80) line is ruggedized, designed with a rubber and plastic body that’s drop-proof, dirt-proof, and splash-proof. It has integrated wall prongs, two to three USB ports, and puts out 2.1A of power. It can be had in 3000 or 6000 mAh capacities.

The least expensive line of battery packs from the company is Amp ($40-$60). With 2000, 4000, or 6000mAh, these packs are enough for up to 27 extra hours of talk time. While the smaller two only have one USB port and 1A power output, the largest model has two ports and puts out 2.1A.

myCharge’s new Freedom ($80/1500mAh, $100/2000mAh) is a Lightning-ready battery case that enables users to easily shift between battery and cabled power. A flexible Lightning connector on the bottom moves between the iPhone 5 and a recess below the battery, providing accessory compatibility as necessary.
