ESPN (free) — The popular sports news and stats app gets a nice update both for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus as well as a whole new iPad design. Icons for your favorite teams now appear throughout the app so that you can pull up news and stats from anywhere you happen to browse, and ESPN Now provides up-to-the-minute photos, videos, and social media content. Support for the Cricket World Cup has also been added in this latest update.

Nike+ Fuel (free) — With most people keeping their iPhones in their pockets now, the motion sensors in the iPhone 5s, 6, and 6 Plus almost obviate the need for a separate wrist tracker like the Nike+ Fuelband, and this latest update to Nike’s Nike+ Fuel app pretty much concedes this point by adding support for the built-in motion tracking features of the newest iPhones.

The update also features iOS 8 optimizations, including support for Apple’s HealthKit, and adds a new Sport Feed for sharing goals and cheering on your friends, with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram integration.

Pinterest (free) — Pinterest has been adding special types of pins to their social network for the past couple of years, with new additions including recipes, products, and articles, all of which include custom information to help you view useful details at a glance. With this latest update, Pinterest takes it to the next level for iOS users with App Store pins. While pinning your favorite apps onto Pinterest is nothing new, direct links to the App Store are now provided, complete with an “Install” button to bring up the App Store page and install an app without even leaving the Pinterest app.

It’s a small but useful new feature that may really help app discovery, and while Pinterest isn’t the first to add “App Cards,” fans of the social media network will likely appreciate the ability to collect and share their favorite apps on their boards.

Starbucks (free) — With this latest update, you can now reload your Starbucks card with Apple Pay, complete with Touch ID support. Sadly, the app hasn’t otherwise been updated for the larger iPhone 6 and 6 Plus screens, however, and Touch ID only works with Apple Pay — you’ll still need to key in your actual Starbucks account password to reload when using other payment methods.

Twitter (free) — The official iOS Twitter app adds the ability to have group conversations in Direct Messages, allowing you to have private conversations with more than one person.
