What to Look for In An LED Light Mask

What to Look for In An LED Light Mask

LED therapy face masks, or LED masks for short are the latest products to have come in the beauty department.

You’ll find a dozen different light therapy masks, each with their own pros and cons. To get the best led mask for your face and skin, here are 3 features you should look for.

What to Look for In An LED Light Mask

FDA Approved

LED skin care is actually harmless and works differently than other skin care products.

It’s good for the skin and face and keeps you looking your best. LED treatment has been around for a long time but it’s only now that we’re seeing various LED light treatment and at-home products.

That said, the first thing you should look for in led light for skin devices is if they’re approved by the FDA. Having this seal should tell you that the mask has undergone testing and works as advertised without drawbacks.

Treatment Time

The average LED treatment for face is anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour. You can find skin light treatment products that advertise treatment time of somewhere between 15 to 25 minutes, which is great. The shorter the treatment time, the better- it means you have a potent LED treatment for acne whenever you need it.

On the other hand, if you want to take your time and relax, then a LED light mask can be a good way to rejuvenate your skin at the end of the day.

LED Mask Wavelength

LED light facial operates via beneficial wavelengths to promote new skin cells. The wavelength of a LED therapy mask ranges from 600nm to 800nm, and each one has its own set of unique benefits.

A good LED facial mask can generate several wavelengths for skin cell renewal, collagen production, hydration, sebum control and anti-aging effects, among others. Make sure to check the features and specification before tapping on the ‘buy’ button.
