Rokid’s push to bring AI-powered smart glasses into everyday life has struck a major chord with consumers worldwide. The company announced that its Rokid Glasses have now surpassed $2.5 million in Kickstarter pledges in just over a month, placing the campaign among the top-funded wearable technology projects on the platform.
The milestone caps a whirlwind global tour that began with Rokid’s official launch in New York City on August 26, followed by appearances at IFA Berlin, a hands-on showcase in Singapore, an optics exhibition in Paris, and a feature panel at the NextGen AI Summit in Singapore.

The Kickstarter campaign has also been fueled by community-driven growth. Rokid’s referral program has attracted over 400 participants, resulting in more than 600 new backers. This grassroots momentum now represents more than 15% of the project’s total support.
Rokid has leaned heavily on community-first rewards to build its momentum. Every backer is now set to receive a $99 AI credit (10,000 AI Points), a late-campaign thank-you announced by the company to celebrate the milestone. This comes on top of the existing Founder’s Exclusive Bundle, which includes:
- Instant $188 discount off the future retail price.
- $118 accessory gift set, covering essentials like prescription lens adapters and a carrying case.
- Three months of unlimited AI features, allowing full exploration of Rokid’s suite of translation, transcription, navigation, and object-recognition tools.
At just 49 grams, Rokid Glasses are the world’s lightest full-function AI & AR smart glasses. Features include real-time multilingual translation, live transcription, navigation, object recognition, AI-powered teleprompter tools, notifications, and a 12MP first-person camera with HDR and stabilization. The glasses also feature dual Micro LED waveguide displays, a 4-microphone array with AI noise cancellation, and a portable charging case offering up to 10 full recharges.

Priced at $479 for Kickstarter backers (MSRP: $599), the glasses come with bundled accessories and introductory AI services, positioning them as both accessible to early adopters and competitive against heavyweight rivals, such as Meta’s latest display glasses. Rokid differentiates itself with an open ecosystem that supports ChatGPT, Gemini, Google Maps, Microsoft Translator, and even user-deployed LLMs.
For Rokid, the Kickstarter milestone is a validation of its decade-long investment in human-computer interaction. With the campaign now entering its final days, Rokid is framing its offer as a “founding community” moment, one that will never be repeated at the same price or with the same bundled rewards.
