Apple released the iPhone 7 in 2016, making it a two plus year old phone but its still one of the best budget phones. It was a flagship when it released but it can now be found for as less as $300.

Internally, the iPhone 7 sports Apple’s A10 Fusion chip -a behemoth of power coupled with 2 gigabytes of RAM which is decent for an iPhone. Considering the hardware, this device could work smoothly for the next two years.

The camera on this phone is excellent. It sports a 12 megapixel rear camera which performs extremely well in well-lit conditions and dimly-lit conditions. Well of course, the newer iPhones and the Pixel phones will perform better but considering the price, its very nice.

Apple also added a quad LED flash on the back of the iPhone 7 for improved night shots. When released, it was one of the best phones for late night shots. Google hadn’t yet showed off its nifty “Night Mode” feature.

The display on the iPhone 7 has the same resolution as the iPhone 6S but it has a much wider color gamut. Everything just looks much more pleasant and punchier compared to the iPhone 6S and prior. The display on the iPhone 7 is excellent, don’t be put-off by the resolution comparisons.

The iPhone 7 was a controversial phone while also being one of the most loved phones. The back of the phone was much nicer looking as the antenna lines were trimmed down and made to look subtle. The camera bump was also changed a little to make it more rounder unlike the sharper-round found on the 6S.

The iPhone 7 was also the first iPhone to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of wireless earphones and lightning earphones. Is this device worth buying in 2019? Sure, if you’re on a budget.
