Humanize Your Text Tips to Add More Life to Your Text

In this age of AI, we have all encountered blog articles or social media posts that sound robotic and bland. We can relate to reading a newsletter that doesn’t connect or email replies that sound off and are generic.

With AI competing and becoming a force in the world of content creation, knowing how to humanize your text will give you an edge. It is something that will help you connect with your readers and have an impact.

Humanize Your Text Tips to Add More Life to Your Text

Why Humanize Your Text?

Let’s take the example of Tim, who works as a content creator. He has to write newsletters, curate blog articles, and also stay up to date with what’s happening in the social media world. Now, Tim decides to use the help of AI in his day-to-day tasks.

The only problem now is that the engagement on his posts and articles is dropping, despite the fact that he is churning out content regularly. So, what could be the reason why, and how can he salvage the situation?

§  Engagement

100% AI-generated text is bland and lacks a human touch, which readers yearn for. Readers probably stop reading after the first few sentences if they feel the article is so dry or overly formal.

§  Clarity

Simple sentences are easier to understand. However, AI writing assistants and tools often try too hard to make articles unique by using hard words to explain simple things.

§  Trust

Readers slowly start losing their trust if they feel the articles or content in general sounds too bland and robotic. Most of the people on Tim’s mailing list have probably unsubscribed, and some don’t even open the newsletters.

Ways to Humanize Your Text

So, what can Tim do to get his mojo back while still leveraging AI tools? Below are some tips that will make his blog posts and newsletters more fun to read and engaging.

§  AI Humanizers

These AI tools can help you save time if you don’t have an editor to proofread an article written using AI. A good example is Walter Writes AI. You can use it to add more flavor to AI-generated text. It is one of the best, and you will notice a significant difference between the AI copy and the revised version.

§  Use Conversational Tone

Writing like you are speaking to someone one-on-one is the first step. Write your draft and simply share your thoughts without overthinking stuff. Use easy words to explain concepts and try using an active voice.

Ask questions to engage your readers. Use puns and witty phrases that are relevant to your target audience to add extra humor in your text.

§  Embrace Imperfection to Humanize Your Text

AI text sounds too right, which we know is next to impossible when writing long-form articles. Embrace your imperfections, although not with spelling and grammatical errors. Instead, let your conversational thoughts flow even if they sound a little off or repeated.

Also, don’t lie. It is okay to say you are unfamiliar with the concept, and you will do more research on it. This type of honesty is something AI writing assistants struggle with most of the time.
