Online shopping and eCommerce are one of the fastest-growing trends in the online world. As online security and the connectivity continue to improve apace so the amount that is being spent digitally has escalated rapidly. The notion of going to a store is becoming increasingly old fashioned as people continue to enjoy the convenience of items being delivered to their doors. Use the power of Google

Search engines, of which Google is far and away the largest, are a great way to generate traffic. Google alone reportedly from 63000 searches a second which is a huge amount of traffic. Being able to tap into this when potential customers search for something related to what you sell is critical and is one of the best ways to drive traffic to your site. To do this you need to ensure that you are properly optimised for search. And, for this to happen you will probably need to consult with an eCommerce SEO expert. It is an investment that is worth making because the sites that rank highest on Google searches get the most click-throughs, and a properly optimised site will get a high quality of traffic coming through.

Reviews work

Get people to write about your products as reviews. The more people talk about your products and the more eCommerce the reviews are, the more likely you are to see traffic coming through to your platform. You can also track where traffic is originating from, which means that you will very quickly see which review sites are best to work with. An added benefit of having your product reviewed by an online blog is that it will aid your SEO. So, if you have some merchandise available, don’t be afraid to get some of it out there to use for promotional purposes.


Find the touchpoints

Once you have acquired a use, you need to make sure that they go from being a one-off visitor to a repeat visitor. To do this you need to find ways of creating regular e-commerce with them. To do this click-throughs you should try to incentivise them to sign up for your newsletters and to follow you on various social media channels. A small discount on a purchase if they sign up or follow can translate into a lot more future business because you will be able to communicate with them again with relevant calls to action across the range of channels that you are using for marketing.
